Band Pass FIR Filter with the Fourier Series and the Kaiser Window.
Cuthbert Nyack
This applet illustrates the effect of the Kaiser window on the frequency and impulse response of a band pass filter derived from the Fourier Series.
Image below shows a band pass filter with a minimum stop band attenuation of
100dB for the variable Kaiser and 89dB for the standard Kaiser window. The filter length is 87 and the 0.1dB to 100dB transition bandwidth is ~ 0.063ws.
Changing fc/fs to 0.149 and q/
p to 3.19 gives similar charactreistics
for the standard Kaiser window.
