DTFT Negative Exponent

The Z transform of a negative expontial f(t) =
e-at is shown below where T is the sampling time.
The applet below shows the frequency spectrum of the negative
exponential over the range from 0 to the sampling frequency.
The magnitude of the spectrum is shown in
green.
The phase of the spectrum is in red.
Real part is in
orange.
and imaginary part in
yellow.
The samples are
in magenta and the negative exponential in gray.
The applet below is similar to the above but the
frequency range is not restricted to the sampling
frequency so the periodicity of the spectrum can
be seen.
