Since the spectrum of a sampled sine contains frequencies at
w, nws
± w, then the sampled signal can be
reconstructed by adding up the frequencies in the spectrum as shown by
the following equation.
The applet below shows how the the reconstructed signal changes as
the parameter N in the above equation is varied. The sine signal is in
gray, its samples in magenta and the reconstructed signal in red.
